Video Review of Henann Resort Bohol.
Henann Resort along Alona Beach in Bohol is rated as a 5 star resort. It’s one of Bohol’s largest resorts covering some 6 ½ hectares and located on a prime spot on Bohol’s Alona Beach. This is by far the most popular beach on Panglao Island (Bohol). The resort sets up umbrellas and lounge chairs along the beach. A nice place to work on your tan while you drink down some cocktails. It is not a private area, so anyone can walk past. They have cordoned off the beach here so all the boats don’t dock up right on the beach (as on other parts of the beach), so you can actually swim in the ocean without dodging boats. It’s a bit quieter on this part of Alona Beach than further down. During the summer months, the beach looks fantastic! The resort has 3 amazing looking pools. They look spectacular both during the day and night as you can see from the photos and video. Henann Resort has 400 rooms and 12 Pool Villas. Its convention center is the largest in Bohol and can hold up to 1000 people. It has its own gym and spa. As for food, the Sea Breeze Beach Club Restaurant serves up some great buffets with a good variety of food (Western, Asian and local). Ala carte is also available.
Rooms start from the Superior. These are a good side, modern and clean. They come with the standard facilities such as coffee and tea making facilities, cable LCD TV, air conditioning, safe and mini bar. The room comes with a small balcony, although the view is only of a service road. To get a room with a decent view (of the swimming pool) you will need to book one of their Premier Rooms. Beds come in either one king or one queen and single bed. The bathrooms are marble clad, modern but a little on the small size. Overall I found the rooms nice enough. The Deluxe Rooms came with a little more room, but other than that were generally the same (including the ordinary views). The weekend I stayed was really busy and I was unable to stay in one of the Premier Rooms. I will save this for next time! Some of these Premier Rooms have direct access to the pool and they seem amazing! Being a new resort the general state of the rooms was good and a comfortable place to sleep. The other noticeable rooms are the Pool Villas which have the luxury of private plunge pool and veranda as well as being more spacious 127 sqm.
Other things the resort offers include:
Airport transfers (with fee)
Foreign currency exchange
24 hour security
My Review of Henann Resort in Bohol
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay here. I have stayed on Alona Beach a number of times over the years, but nothing quite as luxurious as Henann Resort. The closest upmarket resort I stayed on Alona was Amorita Resort up on top of the cliff. Henann Resort is hands down so much better. It’s just in a class of its own. It’s classed 5 star but doesn’t quite feel that, but none the less still an amazing place to stay at. It’s located on a prime spot on the beach and easy walking distance to restaurants and other touristy shops. If you haven’t been to Alona Beach before, the restaurants set up tables along the beach and you can sit by the ocean while you eat your dinner. Lots of fresh seafood is available (among others) and is the perfect way really get that “island” feel. Great also to chill with a few cold beers or cocktails and enjoy the fresh tropical ocean breezes, or listen to some live music. See my videos guides to Bohol here to get a better idea of what I mean. There is also some foreign exchange and some ATMs if you wish to draw some money out. If you want to save some money on your meals walk a bit away from the beach and you will be able to pick up some more affordable food. You may also choose just to stay at the resort and eat there. The food they serve, especially at their buffets is really good. A great selection from Asian to Western. When I booked via Agoda, rooms came with buffet breakfast included (check conditions at booking as this may change). Again the food at breakfast was really good. If you are looking for a beautiful upmarket resort in Bohol, Henann Resort should definitely be worth considering. I loved my stay here and so far it’s been my favourite resort along Alona Beach that I have stayed at. While it may not be in everybody’s price range, if you want to stay in style on a beautiful beach, you cannot do much better than this. It’s classy and sets a new standard on Alona Beach. Henann Resort Bohol comes highly recommended. I would rate the resort as VERY GOOD.
Bohol Tourist Attractions
Bohol offers so much for the tourist, every time I come here I find something new to do. Whether it’s doing the island tour of Bohol or island hopping to Balicasag Island, there is so much to do. The resort can arrange this, or you can do it yourself. If you come by ferry from Cebu to Bohol at the pier there will be plenty of van drivers offering Bohol Tours, which will be cheaper than the resort. The guy I used (see video) was Jun (Mobile: 09263664501) and he was fine. I have found they are fairly flexible in making an itinerary. I’ve been to Bohol so many times there are some things I just don’t need to see anymore! I have found most of the drivers over the years fairly OK. Anyhow Jun was also able to arrange island hopping trip to Pamilican Island. For more ideals and things to do in Bohol please visit my blog here, I’ve put up plenty of videos.
