Video Review of the Pan Pacific Melbourne
When you’re thinking of top luxury hotels in Melbourne with amazing views, the Pan Pacific should be one of those places high up on your list. Some of its Suite rooms command the best views of Melbourne’s city skyline – including the Yarra River. Particularly at night, when the city lights are out some of the views from the Pan Pacific are breath taking.
Being located in South Wharf area of Melbourne, not only is this a nice area of Melbourne it’s in a handy location with a number of trendy cafes and bars. It’s a happening place at night, and early in the morning, so peaceful to stroll along the Yarra River and stop at café for a nice coffee. It’s also were there is a DFO for some shopping as well as Melbourne’s Convention Centre. The Crown Casino is a short walk away. It’s worth noting the hotel used to be the Hilton and was bought over by the Pan Pacific Hotel’s chain.
The Pan Pacific Melbourne is a 5 star hotel, with 396 rooms and suites. The more expensive rooms having these panoramic views of the city and Yarra. The cheaper rooms face towards Port Phillip Bay. These rooms start from around $269 up to their Panoramic Suite that goes for around $600, just check your favourite booking site. In the video review of the Pan Pacific above, I’ll show in more details the room set up and how to book with the cheapest rates. Staying in these Suite rooms, I was blown away from the magnificent views. The room’s windows are huge to take advantage of excellent sights. The Panoramic Suite bathtub has one of the best views in Melbourne! Some of the rooms offer access to the Pan Pacific’s Club Lounge (check conditions at booking). Here you can chill out with some drinks or enjoy the amazing views from the balcony. They also offer a buffet breakfast here, or if you wish, head down to the hotel’s restaurant which has a larger selection of foods (for breakfast).
The hotel has its Dock 37 Restaurant, serving up some great food. In the video I show what I ate here. Here is also were they have their great buffet breakfast (see video for more). Next door is the Café Orr for lighter snacks and coffees. I also tried out the Pan Pacific’s in room dining, you can also see their menu. Again watch the video (above) for more details. The hotel also has a 24 hour gym with views!
In the video I give my review of the Pan Pacific hotel. As it stands I think this is a good choice for hotel in Melbourne with the highlights obviously being the views of Melbourne from some of the rooms. Well worth considering. For other great hotels in Melbourne, check out my YouTube channel.
