Wild Orchid Airlines announced the commencement of regular direct peak demand charter flights between Darwin and Cebu in the Philippines for travel December 2012. For more information prices and reservations please visit Wild Orchid Airlines.

Update: Due to lack of public enthusiasm Wild Orchid Airlines have closed down. It's a pity to see this happen but trying to start a charter service out of one of Australia's smallest cities (estimated at 127,532) it was always going to be a struggle. Not only that,  Darwin doesn't have a the frequency of connecting flights out of Australia's major cities, so if you wanted to fly from say Melbourne with QANTAS there are not daily direct flights. Maybe they needed to start the operation out of a larger city say like Brisbane, I think they would of found more success that way. More details at the airlines website above.
