Cebu Sinulog Festival and 2012 Sinulog Schedule
Cebu Sinulog 2012 has past and we hope you enjoyed! Sinulog the biggest festival in Cebu will be held on January 15, 2012. If you’re coming to Cebu City make sure plan ahead as hotels quickly book out, prices go up and some hotels have a minimum stay policy (some require a 3 or 4 day minimum stay). Sinulog brings out the best in Cebu but unfortunately it can bring out the pick pockets. Be careful of belongings, every year tourists are targeted by pick pockets. If your hotel has a safe leave your wallets in the hotel and only bring what you need. If the weather is hot and sunny make sure to bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water. Be aware streets are blocked off and the Cebu Streets are packed with people. Getting a taxi during this time is extremely hard (and they take advantage of this- expect taxi meters to be turned off). The parade route roughly starts near E Mall in downtown Cebu and follows up along P.Del Rosario St, up through New Imus Rd, Past Carreta Cemetery along Gen. Maxilom Ave, around Fuente Osmeña Circle and down Osmeña Blvd, the parade does a number of circuits before ending at the Cebu City Sports Center.
There is always something going on around the city, clubs and bars are packed and the streets are filled with people. You will always find something going on around Fuente Osmeña area (at night). Ayala Mall has fireworks as well on Sinulog night. If you're planning to be somewhere, plan ahead as getting around will be slow just due to crowds. Have fun! Enjoy Sinulog 2012!
