Mangodlong Paradise Resort video review.

Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort is a newish 3 star resort in the Camotes built right next door to Mangodlong Rock Beach Resort, Bano Beach Resort and Coco Grove Resort. Mangodlong Paradise offers the most upmarket resort (as a 3 star resort) you can stay at (at the moment) in the Camotes with modern rooms (complete with satellite TV, hot and cold showers and mini bar). The resort has a nice infinity pool, lovely landscaped gardens and its own beach area (man-made). The Bamboo Café is a nice open air restaurant specializing in Filipino-Chinese cuisine. Please see video for the menu. They play live music on Saturday night. For those wishing to relax with a refreshing drink, the Sunset Bar offers a great place to do this.

Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort is one the best resorts to stay on the Camotes, it has some great modern rooms and the best swimming pool on the island. The service is a bit slow, but you will find this anywhere on the Camotes. The best staff on the Camotes tend to head to higher paying islands around the Philippines. So unfortunately you won’t get the highest standards in service. This is fairly common in most of the resorts in the Camotes. Having said that, the staff at the resorts are some of the friendliest in the Philippines.

My most recent trip here (as shown in the video) a low pressure system passed over the islands causing boats to and from the island to be cancelled for 24 hours.  The resort was expecting a lot of weekenders to arrive the day I was staying, so the place was just empty. Not only that a couple I spoke to were booked out from Cebu City to Manila that night so they were not sure exactly how they were getting home.  As I have said in the video always plan ahead for something like this if you need to get any connecting flight from Cebu and it may be better to stay overnight in Cebu City if you have next day connections.

To get there from the pier you can organise this with the resort directly if not when you arrive at Consuelo Pier there are plenty of multi cabs and motor bikes to pick you up.

My review of the Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort

This is still my favourite resort to stay at on the Camotes. There are a couple of new resorts in the next couple of years so it may have a bit more competition in the future.  But as it stands now, it’s the best place to stay. Rooms are of a high standard and for the Camotes they are a bit of luxury.  When the weather is good, it does feel like paradise!  Location wise I do find the area around Santiago Bay more beautiful. The beach there is just amazing, but the resorts there don’t match the standard of Mangodlong Paradise. That said, if you hire a motorbike it’s only a 10 minute ride to Santiago Bay Overall I give this resort a rating of GOOD

Please check out the video reviews for more details on the resort.
